After Famous Actress Makes Shock Anti-Jew Comment – Her Career Takes Immediate Left Turn

Hollywood elites have been front and center in the public forum denouncing support for Israel. Some have held to disagreements in opinion while others have called for eliminating Israel altogether.

Mainstream media and social media platforms have welcomed the harsh sentiment assailing the Jewish people. For some in the world of the entertainment elite, their words are coming back to haunt them. Attacking a certain people group and wishing harm to them should never be accepted.

One of the most successful Hollywood actresses made her voice of discontent heard recently, and it has cost her. The actress said the Jewish people are getting some of what they deserve, and her words are those she may want to take back.

From Fox News:
Academy Award-winning actress Susan Sarandon was dropped as a client of UTA, a major Hollywood agency, following her controversial comments that American Jews are getting a “taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim.”

Sarandon’s remarks came during a pro-Palestinian rally in New York City on Nov. 17. She commented on how protesters should have conversations with Jewish Americans and listen to them because many don’t feel safe. There has been a significant rise in antisemitism in the country since the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack against Israel.

“There are a lot of people that are afraid, that are afraid of being Jewish at this time, and are getting a taste of what it feels like to be a Muslim in this country, so often subjected to violence,” Sarandon said.

Her choice of words prompted quick and intense backlash, including from the Muslim community. Muslim American writer and education activist Asra Nomani turned to social media to express the life of freedom and opportunity her parents experienced in the United States.

“This is a ‘taste’ of life for a Muslim family in America,” Nomani posted on the X platform. “Please don’t minimize the experience of Jewish Americans by sanitizing the hell that it is for Muslims living in Muslim countries and vilifying America for the life — and freedoms — she offers Muslims like my family.”

The writer went on to encourage people to go and “live like a Muslim woman in a Muslim country” because they would “come back to America and kiss the land beneath your feet.”

Antisemitism has erupted on college campuses across the United States. Hollywood elites have been notably hesitant to comment on the vile sentiment despite joining in unison in the past on political issues.

Another member of the Hollywood elite scene has also felt the effects of her opinion on the Israel-Hamas war. Sharing anti-Israel social media posts led to the resignation of Maha Dakhil from Creative Artists Agency’s internal board and leaving her position as co-head of the motion picture department.

Dakhil’s departure followed her reposting an Instagram story in October which read, “”You’re currently learning who supports genocide.” This was in reference to Israel’s retaliation against the Hamas terrorists.

“The Morning Show” star Julianna Margulies told Variety that she doesn’t understand why the Hollywood class doesn’t stand against the antisemitism comments.

“I honestly don’t know what they’re afraid of. Losing, I don’t know, followers? I mean, it’s just insane to me,” Margulies said.
